Tropical Heart is owned and operated by Carolina Valentine Tedesco, an award winning fine art photographer who arrived in Key West in 1992 to work with historic sunken shipwrecks and their cargo's. With a passion for seeing life through the lens since childhood, her diverse professional life and travels resulted in a romantic, evocative storytelling style evidenced in both her fine art and special event photography.
Carol is one of the featured photographers in the internationally acclaimed Women Sustaining the Earth 2010 Environmental Calendar, and is the 2009/2010 official Key West Fantasy Fest photographer. Her photographs are in private collections and have appeared in exhibits and print publications throughout the U.S. and abroad.
Carol credits renowned Texas photographer Gary Hartman, of Gary Hartman Photography, who in the 1980's was her first photographic mentor; "I am very grateful to Gary Hartman. It was Gary who taught me to be a true professional; to deliver above and beyond the client's expectations; to see not only what belongs in a photograph, but what does not belong."
